everyone wants to implement new features and flashy things, but no one wants to spend time fixing bugs that doesn’t concern them directly.
That is a big problem actually with open source software. The maintenance part is not as exciting as writing the software in its early stages.
If programming is your craft to earn a living, it takes a creative mind to make software maintenance your business model. The money is in services if you step up to the plate.
